‘Saadaat Khanwada’ai Ashrafiya’

Prophetic Progeny of the Ashrafiya Dynasty

When the Sun of Islam arose upon the lands of Arabia, not long after the rays of Islam reached the lands of Hindustan. When the Master of the Worlds, upon whom be infinite peace and blessings, invited the Arabs to the ultimate universal Truth, the luminous delegation of those who earnestly embraced the call of universal Islam from then on commenced setting foot on the land of Hind, paving the road of disseminating Islam to all nations and races. Devout commissions of Prophetic Companions, their Successors, their subsequent successors and the noble Awliya’ Allah, the Mercy of Allah be upon them all, enlightened the hearts of the people of Hind. Till today this mission continues. Amongst these virtuously attributed was the supreme heritage and legacy of the Khanwada Ashrafiya: Ashrafiya Dynasty, the eminent, Makhdum Sultan Sayyad Ashraf Jahangir, Simnani, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, who arrived in the eight century of the Hijrah era. The eminent attained the rank of Ghawth, travelled the globe and introduced the call of Truth from the expanse of the east to the west. His Shaykh gave the good tiding:

“farzand Ashraf! Bu’ai tu az sharq-o-garb mi aayad”

“O Dear Son Ashraf! Your aroma is coming from the east and the west”

That is, your name will be acknowledged and popular everywhere. The number of muridsmurids the Sustainer of all the worlds alone knows or this 'faqir' [destitute before Him] knows”. This includes those who embraced Islam at the eminent’s blessed hands. Since then till today this household has unreservedly served propagating the True universal message of Islam. Today too, in this twenty first century this household continues to extend the propagation of the Religion of Truth to regions where others can only imagine. [disciples] of the eminent Master is beyond count. Once the eminent himself proclaimed, “the true number of my ummah From amongst the lofty and distinguished personalities of the Ashrafiya Dynasty is, the Mujaddid [Reviver] of the Ashrafiya Tariqat, A’alaHadrat, likeness-bearer to Ghawth'us-Samdani, Sayyad Shah Abu Ahmad Muhammad Ali Husayn, Ashrafi Jilani, may his secret be sanctified, whose entire life was exhausted in propagating and serving Islam. Through the spiritual service of the Ashrafiya Tariqat, A’alaHadrat Ashrafi mia'n invited those who were dangerously becoming distant from the True Religion to return steadfastly to ‘Sirat-e-Mustaqim’, bringing them closer to Allah, the Majestic and Sublime. Vast numbers embraced Islam through his teachings. Muslims were shown the way to reach affinity with their Creator and Sustainer and imparted gems of Gnosis upon them.  He was the Persona of Shari’at, Tariqat and M’arifat. Besides the laymen, abundant Scholars of Islam sought benevolence from him...their hearts were illumined by his awe inspiring company and spiritual dominance. There was absolute consensus: Ijma’a on his ‘wilayah’ among his contemporary ‘Ulama’ and Masha’ikh. Each and every person acknowledged his spiritual excellence.

In the prime of his youthful days, Hadrat Mawlana Fadl'ur-Rahman, Ganj MuradAbadi, ‘alayhi al-rahmah, inspired after hearing his speech remarked,

“Son, the colour with which you are embellished, the hearts of numerous ‘Ulama’ will be embellished through the benevolence of your noble company.”

This foresight came true letter by letter. Through the grace of his godly company, the hearts of many ‘Ulama’, Masha’ikh and Talibin-e-Haqq [seekers of the universal Truth] were embellished in his lustrous colours. India and outside of India, it was talk of his illustrious colour alone, his colour alone was prevalent and till today it is with his much publicized colours that the ‘Ulama and Masha’ikh of the Ashrafiya dynasty are found embellished in.

Although there are some who today show aggressive hostility and opposition towards the current righteous Ashrafiya dynasty, nevertheless this household according to the tradition of their pious predecessors continue uncompromisingly to serve Islam; the Religion of universal Truth.

Some unfortunate people have attempted to scandalize and throw mud on the pure lineage of this household and are occupied in baseless accusations; however, their accusations cannot conceal the Truth and the manifest reality; like dust settled on the surface it will eventually blow away. Those who throw dirt on the sun only throw dirt on themselves. Answers to the false accusations of such opposition are forthcoming. The scope of religious propagation of this noble household was not limited to Asia moreover there scope has reached Europe, America, Africa and Australia.

The Ashraafi Saadaat of the Khanwada’ai Ashrafiya; the Prophetic Progeny of the Ashrafiya dynasty are by consensus Najib-ut-tarfayn; of Noble descent from the Blessed Mother and Father of Hadrat Sayyad ‘Abd’ur-Razzaq Nur ul-'Ayn, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, who trace their lineage back to Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahrah, Allah be well pleased with her, and to Sayyidina Amir 'al-mu'minin, Hadrat 'Alî, Karrama Allahu ta’ala wajhah’ul-karim, respectively, of Noble Parentage both paternal and maternal, i.e. their lineage from both sides trace their descent to the Beloved Messenger of Allah, Salla Allahu ta'ala ‘alayhi wa alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam. When we refer to the Ashrafiyya Dynasty, we mean the progeny of Hadrat Sayyad alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, wherever they reside, in Hindustan or outside. The progeny of Hadrat Nur-ul-‘Ayn, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, reside in the following places; Kicchocha, Baskhaari, Jaa’is, zila Rai Bareli, Surayya, Mahabbatpur, Sankari Dayha, Makhdumpur zila Sultanpur, Ra’ijpur, Aasuli Sultanpur, Dahkiyaa, Delhupur, Bibipur, Salihpur, Singarpur, kisruchutna zila Basti, Ashrafchak, Bahdarsa, Makhdumpur, Rasul AbadMungir, Purah Shah Kamgarbarahbanki, HaydarAbad Dakkan, Paygambar Nagar Barah Banki, AzimAbad Patna, Mumin Purah zila Maldah Bangal and Nehtur zila Bajnur. ‘Abd’ur-Razzaq Nur ul-‘Ayn, ‘

The truth is; their noble descent is beyond criticism and adverse comments. To contest their rightful descent is synonymous to denying the brightness of the mid-day sun. Nevertheless, what can be done or said for in every era certain people have always co-existed whose purpose and intention is to dishonour and blemish the Religious Dignitaries of Islam. Unfortunately, we find such a group in our age too.

To engage in any form of discussion with such people is equal to determining one’s own ignorance. However, it is necessary to proclaim the truth to our sincere followers so that their hearts are not afflicted by the fatal illnesses of suspicion and doubt and remain protected and immune from such tribulations.

One of the criticism's made by the few among the ill-willed and malicious fault-finding opposition on the Ashrafiya household regarding their Prophetic lineage is their accusation that Hadrat Makhdum Ashraf Jahangir Simnani, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, never married nor was Hadrat Sayyad ‘Abd’ul-Razzaq  Nur ul-‘Ayn, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, his nephew. If he was adopted then that does not establish their Siyaadah [Prophetic lineage] when it doesn’t suffice to establish their general nasab [lineage] either. They merely falsely associated their lineage and kinship with the lineage of Hadrat Sayyad Makhdum Ashraf, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, falsely self-acclaiming their Siyaadah [Prophetic lineage].

First of all it will be appropriate to examine and mention the nasab naamah [genealogy] of both Hadrat Sayyad Makhdum Ashraf Jahangir, Simnani, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, and of the noble Ashrafiya household'…then we will relate to precisely who Hadrat Sayyad ‘Abd’ul-Razzaq Nur ul-‘Ayn, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, was.

Hadrat Sayyad Makhdum Ashraf Jahangir, Simnani, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, is a distinguished Najib ut-Tarfayn Sayyad, whose noble descent is linked to Hadrat Sayyiduna Imam Husayn, Allah, Most Exalted be well pleased with him, and Hadrat Sayyid ‘Abd’ul-Razzaq Nur ul-‘Ayn, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, is also a Najib ut-Tarfayn Sayyad, whose noble descent is linked to Hadrat Sayyaduna Imam Hasan, Allah, Most Exalted be well pleased with him.

of Hadrat Sayyiduna Imam Husayn, Allah, Most Exalted be well pleased with him, and Hadrat Sayyad ‘Abd
al-Razzaq Nur ul-‘Ayn, ‘alayhi al-rahmah w’al-ridwan, is the progeny of Hadrat Sayyaduna Imam Hasan, Allah, Most Exalted be well pleased with him. Now let us observe the genealogy of both of these pious Awliya’:
